Coverage per kit

At 2.8 to 3.8 kg/m², one 20 kg kit (resin plus powder) covers roughly 5 to 7 m² at full system thickness. Calculated from the manufacturer’s consumption figure.

Uses

Non-potable water tanks and reservoirs, swimming pools, wet room walls and floors, retaining walls and foundations, planters, ponds, concrete gutters, irrigation channels and patios. Also for filling blow holes, repairing hairline cracks and below-DPC tanking for EIFS. Cement mortars and tile adhesives can bond directly to it.

Surface preparation

  • Remove existing coatings, laitance and unsound concrete mechanically; clean off dust, oil and grease.
  • Grind off ridges, make mortar joints sound and flush, repair cracks and form fillets in corners.
  • Reinforce wall/floor corners, pipe entries and drains with Terratape or Terraco Joint Reinforcing Strip.
  • Prime dry or porous surfaces with Terrabond A diluted 1:3 (supplied in the kit). Other surfaces should be saturated with no standing water.

Mixing and application

  1. Add the powder slowly to the resin and mix for at least 3 minutes at 200 to 600 rpm.
  2. Rest for at least 5 minutes, then remix for 30 seconds. Never add water.
  3. Apply by brush or broom in 2 to 3 coats, each at right angles to the last, 0.75 to 1.0 mm per coat. Consult Terraco before spraying.
  4. Recoat after at least 6 hours. Tile after 3 days; flood test after 7 days.
