Terraco EIFS Alpha is an exterior insulation and finish system that insulates a building from the outside with EPS or graphite-enhanced EPS (G-EPS) boards, finished with a reinforced basecoat and a decorative coating. Terraco describes it as its bestselling EIFS. System components
- Terraco Styrofix: adhesive to fix the boards to the substrate.
- EPS or G-EPS board: thickness to suit the required thermal performance.
- Mechanical fasteners: plastic fixings with plastic or steel pins, also helping with wind loads on taller buildings.
- System profiles: for reinforcing and finishing around openings and sills.
- Terraco Styrobond DP basecoat: reinforced with EIFS glass-fibre mesh.
- Terraco P Primer: penetrating basecoat primer.
- Decorative finish: such as Terracoat, optionally with a clear or pigmented topcoat.

EPS or G-EPS?
Terraco describes EPS as typically the most cost-effective board. G-EPS gives about 10% better thermal efficiency, so thinner boards can be used, which suits renovations.
Before you specify
- For the Terraco guarantee, the system must be installed by an Approved Terraco EIFS Applicator.
- Insulated facades in the UAE are subject to fire and life-safety requirements. Confirm current requirements with your consultant and the relevant civil defence authority.
- Terraco provides reference drawings for window heads, sills, movement joints and fire breaks.
