Where to use it
Interior walls of fair-faced concrete, lightweight concrete, plasterboard, chipboard, plywood, gypsum walls and sand/cement plaster. It can also be used for grouting tile joints.
Not suitable for areas of prolonged saturation such as floors or swimming pools. For those, ask us about Terraco’s cementitious tile adhesives.
Surface preparation
- New surfaces: remove dust, dirt and foreign matter; make sure the surface is free of salts, oil, grease and ridges; protect adjacent areas; repair cracks, chips and voids with Terraco Handycoat Exterior.
- Old surfaces: check the substrate is firm; wash with sugar soap solution, rinse and let dry before repairing or priming.
Application
- Spread a layer approximately 3 mm thick with the smooth side of a notched trowel.
- Comb through it with the notched side.
- Push and twist tiles into place for full contact. Fix tiles before the adhesive skins over.
- Wipe excess adhesive off tile faces with a wet sponge before it dries.
- Clean tools with water after use.
Storage
Unopened containers keep for 12 months. Store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Not affected by frost.
