Terraco EIFS Perma is Terraco’s exterior insulation and finish system using mineral wool (MW) boards. Terraco recommends it where a higher fire rating is required. Fire testing and approvals
According to Terraco, EIFS Perma is tested and certified to NFPA 285, NFPA 268 and ASTM E84 Class A. Terraco also states it holds Dubai Civil Defence approval (which Terraco describes as the first in the UAE for an EIFS under the updated fire safety code), as well as Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain Civil Defence approvals. Confirm current approval status for your project with Terraco and your consultant.
System components
- Terraco Styrofix: adhesive fixing the MW board to the substrate.
- Mineral wool board: thickness to suit the required thermal performance.
- Mechanical fasteners: steel fasteners with steel pin dowels, also resisting wind shear at height.
- System profiles: for openings, window and door reveals and sills.
- Terraco Styrobond DP basecoat: reinforced with Terramesh glass-fibre mesh.
- Terraco Silprime: substrate-penetrating primer.
- Decorative finish: breathable wall coating (Terraco Sil and Terol renders in a wide range of colours and textures), optionally with a clear or pigmented topcoat.
