Weathercoat GP is Terraco’s two-component, cement-acrylic elastomeric waterproofing system for roofs, wet rooms, facades, foundations and water-retaining structures. Coverage per kit
One 20 kg kit covers approximately 10 to 13 m² at 1 mm thickness (calculated from the stated 1.5 to 2.0 kg/m² per mm). Required thickness depends on the project specification.
Key properties
- Permanently flexible; bridges cracks in the substrate.
- UV and alkali resistant; weather and abrasion resistant.
- Vapour permeable and non-toxic.
- Adheres to new and old precast and in-situ concrete.
- Cement mortars can be applied over it; resin can be added to mortars and screeds to increase strength.
Uses
Roofs, facades, wet rooms and wet room floors, foundations, retaining walls, planters, swimming pools and water tanks.
Surface preparation and application
- Remove dirt, foreign matter, ridges and form oil. Clean dusty or flaking surfaces thoroughly.
- Prime dusty or flaking surfaces with Penetrating Primer Clear or Terrabond A diluted 1:3.
- Mix resin and powder with a high-speed mixer or power agitator until homogeneous.
- Apply by brush, roller or spray. Add water only for spraying.
- Use within 1 hour; do not re-temper with water.
- Allow at least 6 hours between coats. After drying, the surface can be walked on uncovered.
Storage
Store in unopened original packs in a clean, dry area away from humidity, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Shelf life 12 months.
