P Primer Clear is Terraco’s clear, penetrating surface consolidation primer. It soaks deep into cement-based surfaces, plasters and limes to bind dusty substrates and give a sound base for paints and decorative finishes. Key properties and uses
- Binds dusting surfaces and improves adhesion.
- Reduces efflorescence and surface alkalinity.
- Especially suited to sealing old, dry, absorbent, untreated concrete.
- For sand/cement render, cast-in-situ and precast concrete, lightweight concrete and blockwork, and under finishes on Terraco EIFS.
- Recommended by Terraco under Handycoat Interior and Handycoat Exterior on dusting or flaking surfaces.
Surface preparation and application
- Scrape and brush away dust, dirt and foreign matter; make sure surfaces are free of salts, oil, grease and ridges.
- Repair cracks and voids with a suitable Terraco repair compound.
- Apply liberally and evenly by brush or spray. A further coat may be needed on poor surfaces.
- Allow to dry, then paint or cover as soon as possible for best adhesion. Clean tools with water.
