Styrobond DP is Terraco’s cement-based adhesive and basecoat for its EIFS systems. It bonds insulation boards to mineral walls and is used as the embedding mortar for glass-fibre mesh over EPS, XPS and mineral wool before the finish coat. Properties
Water resistant, excellent adhesion, good flexural strength and good impact resistance, according to Terraco.
Application
- Mix about 4 parts powder to 1 part water with a high-speed mixer for 3 to 5 minutes, stand 5 minutes, then remix. Mix only what can be used.
- As adhesive: apply to the board, press into place with a level and fix before the adhesive skins over.
- As basecoat: apply a coat over the board, embed the glass-fibre mesh with a trowel, then apply a second coat to fully cover the mesh, 3 to 5 mm overall.
- Clean tools with water.
